AI feedback and usage
Why did I hit an AI usage limit?
Tell the difference between plan usage and a temporary request limit, then choose the right next step.
Updated 3 October 2026
A limit message means the request could not run at that moment. The wording helps identify whether your included usage is used or the service is temporarily busy.
Identify the kind of limit
An account or plan usage message means the work available to your account has been used for now. A temporary request or capacity limit means the service is asking you to slow down and try again later.
A limit message does not by itself confirm a new charge, and most students do not need to create or fund a separate AI provider account to use iBacalao. If the message mentions a provider account or API key, contact support before changing billing details.
If your included usage is used
Follow any reset or next-available time shown in the product. If no time is shown, check the plan information or ask support to clarify what applies to your account.
Review plans and pricing- Keep a copy of the draft or prompt you were working on.
- Review current plan options at Pricing if you want to compare availability.
- Wait for the time shown in the message, or contact support if the message gives no guidance.
If the message says to try again later
Pause for a short time before retrying. Sending the same request repeatedly or starting duplicate reviews can make it harder to tell whether the first request completed.
- Check that your connection is stable.
- Retry once after a pause.
- If the same message continues, save the exact wording and contact support.
What to include when you contact support
Send the feature you were using, the exact message, when it happened (including your time zone), and your current plan if you know it. Include a request ID only if one is shown.
